About This Initiative

ISCA’s Spanish-language mailing list is designed to strengthen and connect the growing community of Spanish-speaking researchers, practitioners, and leaders working with social capital. By subscribing, you join an emerging network committed to advancing a deeper, more rigorous understanding of social capital—and to applying that understanding in real contexts across Latin America, Spain, and other Spanish-speaking regions.

What ISCA Is Aiming to Achieve

ISCA is working to make the global conversation on social capital more inclusive, accessible, and representative. The Spanish-language list helps to:

• Expand access to ISCA news, events, resources, and opportunities, delivered in Spanish so that more people can participate fully in the field.
• Support the development of regional communities, such as the Chilean Social Capital Circle and the broader Latin American network, enabling collaboration, shared learning, and locally grounded practice.
• Strengthen the field of social capital by bringing diverse perspectives into a common conversation—one that treats social capital not as a metaphor or a set of categories, but as a system of relational potentials that shape social, economic, and community outcomes.
• Create channels for participation, so that Spanish-speaking members can contribute ideas, engage with others, share their work, and help build the future of the field.
